Wow! Here at the Crimson Petal, this spring has been a super exciting time. We have a huge announcement in the works, that I’m practically straining to keep my lips shut up about at this point, and we’re looking for last minute summer weddings and events to help share our artistic eyes!

Here is a graduate I was recently asked to create a fun, and super happy bouquet for for her graduation from Webster Groves High School just last week. I’m so happy that Sammie liked it and really thrilled it turned out so cute with her orange and black gown.

Mother’s Day!

Hi all! Mother’s day is this sunday, and in celebration of all these lovely mothers- myself included- I have a nice large stock of flowers coming in from all over the world to celebrate the best mom’s in STL. I have my yearly signature arrangement all picked out- an arrangement of Asiatic Lilies, roses, Craspedia, and Fiddlehead Fern. There are three pricing points to choose from, the $45 basic arrangement in a glass vase, the $65 arrangement with leaf lining in the vase, and the $75 arrangement with oranges, lemons, limes, or other crazy fruits lining the vase, and the assortment of flowers on top. Each is fun, and a little quarky, and no two arrangements are exactly alike. In addition, I am donating 10% of all sales to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in support of my own triathalon to find a cure for blood born cancers. Why don’t I update more often?

WOW!! We’re four months into 2010 already, and I can say with absolutely clarity that I am so happy and proud of where this little business is heading. I’ve managed to make some great friendships, business contacts, and make a few brides happy along the way. Everything seems to really be coming along for the most part, and I couldn’t be more thrilled.

For now there are a few things that I would like to say… First off THANK YOU for your continued support and love coming my way. Second, look for some new and really awesome changes coming not only to the website but to the company itself. I’m so honored by the weddings and events worked so far this year, from the Hyatt Regency’s trivia night to a little hawaiian laua I had the privilege of providing orchids to be used in lays. I’ve had the privilege of working for AutionNerinx, where I got to experience a wonderful group of women with wonderful and creative ideas for centerpieces. I’ve spoken to so many brides or mothers of the bride, and had the distinct pleasure of planning a wedding with a mothers who’s daughter was out of town. I’ve rekindled friendships based on this little business, and am really soaring with pride in all the lives it is touching.
Thank you again for your support and be on the look out for the new pictures in the gallery section to be updated, as well as more frequent blog posts as I get flowers in for the upcoming wedding season.

This weekend proved to be one of my busiest yet. Typically it is a rule of mine to not do two weddings on one day, but these two were exceptions.

First off let me say Congrats to Ben and Rosemary Hamlin. Ben and Rosemary are two of my closest friends, and I’m so happy to say clients now too. I also had the distint pleasure of being the Matron of Honor in this weekends wedding… It proved to be a lot of fun, a lot of work, but nothing short of a blessing to be able to share in this wedding with my friends.

Rosemary choose a simple by elegant white winter scheme with White Ecudorian Roses, White Calla lilies, and White Stephanotis. We brought in crystals to use in Rosemary’s bouquet, as well as diamond pins in her stephanotis. It was absolutely breathtaking. The reception was at the Planetium, and we used silver painted curly willow with silver snowflakes, and in an “ice” filled vase. I cannot wait to show the pictures of this. It was perfect for the winter setting.

The other wedding I had the pleasure of working on this weekend was Mark Ladd and Elaine Gluck. Elaine is a friend from high school that I had the distint honor of serving on saturday. Elaine wanted something simple with Black Calla lilies, lime green cymbidian orchids, red dhalias, and orange freesia. It really was a captivating bouquet. Striking and bold, contemporary but elegant.

Congrats to both Elaine and Mark as well as Rosemary and Ben. I’m so happy for you both and wish you years and years of happiness and prosperity…

OH, PS I made it through my matron of honor speech without dying! It truly was a fantastic weekend!

Pam’s Testimony

I consider myself an idea person. But when I get a thought in my head, I sometimes have issues with execution. And that is where The Crimson Petal stepped in. I love fall. And I wanted the flowers for my wedding to embody all that is fall. I almost cried when I saw the floral arrangements. Everything was wonderful: the corsages, the boutonnieres, my gorgeous bouquet –amazing. In fact, The Crimson Petal went beyond my expectations. Thank you for making my day wonderful and brightening my wedding day with a wonderful array of colors and imagination.
